Dr Damon Ashworth: Clinical Psychologist


Damon successfully completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Monash University in February 2014. For his Doctoral Research, Damon developed and implemented a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) treatment that significantly improved sleep and mood in participants with insomnia and depression. The findings of this research were presented at the 2012 Australian Chronobiology Society meeting in Adelaide and SLEEP 2013, the Associated Professional Sleep Societies meeting in Baltimore, USA. They have also been published in the Journal of Counseling Psychology.

Damon has extended this research in his clinical practice at the Melbourne Sleep Disorders Centre in East Melbourne since September 2013. He has assisted hundreds of individuals with a wide range of sleeping problems, from acute to chronic insomnia, advanced and delayed sleep phase disorders, parasomnias, nightmares, and restless legs syndrome.

Outside of his interest in sleep, Damon loves to read, write blog posts and make videos on various psychology topics. He enjoys being active and tries to keep fit by playing basketball, beach volleyball and tennis. He also occasionally swims, cycles, lifts weights and heads up to the mountains in winter to ski.


Dr Angelina Mirabito: Creative Writer


Dr Angelina Mirabito is a Melbourne based writer, researcher and self-help coach for recovery and change. This includes assisting people with an eating disorder through the recovery process and instructing mental health professionals on how creative writing as a therapeutic tool can be effectively incorporated into treating clients with eating disorders.

Angelina’s PhD was on the therapeutic value of creative writing and how it can contribute to post-traumatic growth. Alongside finalizing her first novel ‘A Way Out,’ developing her second novel ‘Hope,’ awarded a writing fellowship at the Wheeler’s Center in 2016, Angelina works one-on-one and in groups to empower people through writing. Angelina has taught both fiction and non-fiction writing at The University of Melbourne; lectured at Deakin University in their Institute of Koorie Education; acted as a tutor and mentor at Queen’s College. She has also, been awarded writing residencies and published fiction, non-fiction and poetry in various literary magazines and academic journals.


Dr James Gillard: Osteopath


James completed his Master’s Degree in Health Science (Osteopathy), Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy at Victoria University in 2013. James loves osteopathy and it’s philosophy on health. The drive for health is inherent within the system, and through osteopathy, James is able to help facilitate this process.

James enjoys general practice working with patients of all ages, and currently practices at Holistic Osteopathy in Ocean Grove and Geelong. He has a particular interest in complex health issues and chronic pain. He explains to his patients how their body works through health and disease and encourages a wide variety of movement throughout the day.

James is passionate about health, learning and music and thoroughly enjoys sipping coffee whilst in good company.


Christopher Irving: Catalyst and Anxiety Coach

Chris left a comfortable career in Psychology to pursue a calling deep26841142_883903471788286_6757453249041489913_o within him for something different. He realised that part of his journey was to be a facilitator, helping health professionals to realise their potential and inspiring everyone else to improve their health + wellness.

Christopher coaches others and gives them the direction they need to lead their lives from a place of purpose rather then a place of necessity.
